The Adjustable Rideable Fitting Stem
This
is a deluxe tool that cyclists can rent from your shop. It allows your customers
to experiment and fine tune their final handlebar position. Recreational riders
can find their most comfortable position, performance riders can find the
most aerodynamic position with
high power output, and mountain bikers can adjust their weight distribution
on their bike while working through rough terrain. These riders will be advertising
for your shop while they are paying you to ride with the tool they have rented
from you. Even more important, they will be thrilled that you have a tool
that helps them get the most out of their riding experience. Having this tool
in your shop is a win-win situation for everyone.
Now let's look at the frustration and cost factors. In the past,
customers may have to go through two, three, four, or five stems before finding
the position they want. They also get frustrated with you
or the whole process, waiting for the next stem to come in. And then your
pocketbook is involved. You have to keep shelling out money to purchase additional
stems and most shops end up with a drawer full of stems somewhere that looks
like this! Then you have agitated customers on top of it. This doesn't sound
like the best solution.
That is where the Rideable, Adjustable Fit Stem
becomes a real asset to your shop and the riding community
in your area. The tool weighs only 2 pounds and has been put through rigorous
testing. It's your choice. You can get the advertising benefits, the positive
reputation among the cycling community, and the cost savings in stems. Or
you can get the headaches we described above.
The Rideable, Adjustable Fit Stem comes with adapters
for threaded and threadless headsets. There are two scales on the Fit Stem
if you look closely at the picture on the top of this page. One
is for quill stems and the other is for threadless. There is a simple conversion
process if you have to switch between the two mounting systems. With quill
stems, the handlebars mount on top of the Fit Stem (left) and
with threadless headsets the handlebars mount on the bottom of the Fit
Stem (right).
The Fit Stem is not included in any of our Fit Kits. You can order it separately at our Fit Kit Store.

The adjustability allowed with your Fit Stem
over the course of several days riding was amazing, and I could not
believe the difference that even incremental adjustments in height,
length and relative angle of the stem caused in aerodynamics, comfort
and power output. See the
