The Rotational Adjustment Devices or RADs should be used to align the cleats for any cyclists that purchases or uses a clipless pedal system on their bicycle. The red and white determinant bars on the RADs will indicate the natural rotational gait of the rider while pedaling their bicycle.
If you do not adjust the cleats in a clipless pedal system correctly, the leg will still want to rotate to it's natural position, but the cleat-pedal mechanism will prevent it, which can cause rotational stresses on the knee, hip or ankle. These repeated stresses may lead to injury.
The RAD Kit™ includes 3 apdapters: A Universal Mountain Adaptor for SPD style bicycle pedals that utilize the Shimano™ SPD 14 mm center-to-center standard and second, a Universal Road Adaptor for use with Look, Time, Shimano and other compatible clipless bicycle pedal systems, and the SPEED Play/Time-Eqipe' Adapter.
The RAD Kit™ also includes a Tension Adjustment Device (TAD) used to adjust the release tension on SPD style cleats. The components are protected by a very strong and durable carrying case that can be locked for security purposes.
